The challenge
America’s antiquated and unreliable transmission grid is the biggest obstacle facing the transition to 100% clean energy.
In collaboration with a coalition of clean energy advocates, Advanced Energy United wanted to launch a compelling education campaign to accelerate the buildout of America’s 21st-century grid. It was up to us to break down the notoriously convoluted and opaque subject of energy infrastructure and make it digestible for busy policymakers.
The work
We helped Advanced Energy United build this transmission campaign from the ground up, crafting a comprehensive communications strategy, brand, and key messages — and we were behind its catchy name: Transmission Possible!
We put a series of animated videos — each built around an easy-to-understand analogy — at the heart of our strategy. Prior to launch, our team also created all materials for the campaign’s resource hub, including issue fact sheets, state-specific fact sheets, opinion pieces, email newsletters, social media, and copy for the campaign website.

The results
The materials we created for Transmission Possible translated this complex policy issue into plain language and familiar concepts without sacrificing the nuance of the challenge. Advanced Energy United launched Transmission Possible in the spring of 2024.
